Pacific Islander Seeking Free Student Financial Aid

Frix started this conversation

Hi, I've been trying to find free Family School Fee grants for sometime, to assist pay for my son's school fees so I can be free from school fee and can be able to save some money. I know I might not be eligible for this Grant Source or Funder as I come from a foreign country in the Pacific called Papua New Guinea. I've been surfing the Internet to be able to find an International Grant Funder that can assist people like myself and family free without paying a cent back. Our country is a developing country and we faced alot of economic crisis, not to mention grocery prices that all our wages go to, especially people like me who earn just below the average and can't even keep any money on hand till the next fortnight comes leading to borrowing of money where we pay back with interest. The list goes on... My question is, if this is not the right place for me, please help me find the right site that will assist in my area. I don't have an access/visa card so can't even order anything online. Just need help in seeking and applying for School Grants and Family Travel Grants. Please help.

Sambodoctor, unfortunately, not all PNGuineans have land to farm and their families are not as well off as we would like. I come from a family that is comfortable but yet have been struggling for the last 10 years to complete my Flight training. Even though I have displayed this interest, even gone to the extent of paying for my own training, totally depleting my NASFUND, oneone is willing to help. I am still working on my pilots license, and I have had alot of obsticles. Your attitude is not helpful and is counter-productive. Instead of stepping on a person's idea, why don't you help him find some funding. Good luck Frix, and I hope someone does help you. Having said that, don't wait around too long for help.

As a PNGan, I feel for you but there is little reason for asking free handouts via public forum like this one. Why can't you do something for your family yourself first to show others that at least you are making an attempt. There is plenty of land for growing food, coffee, cocoa etc/

People can only have sympathy for you and try to assist you if you show that you are doing something to help yourself.
